Class Participation Rubric
4- Student take a voluntary, thoughtful, and active role in their own learning, challenging themselves on a daily basis. They initiate discussion, ask significant questions, and act as a leader within a group. They are willing to take risks and actively listen to what others have to say. These students show they are well prepared by thoughtfully completing assignments and their work demonstrates their high regard they hold for learning.
3- Students sometimes take an active role in their learning, sharing relevant ideas and asking appropriate questions. Although reluctant to take risks, they contribute regularly to class discussions. These students listen to classmates and respect their opinions. As a result of completing assignments, these students participate only when called upon. They may need occasional reminders to stay on task.
